The language school ‘Vista Alegre’ was founded in 2004 by Olga Pavlickova, a qualified and experienced English teacher and teacher trainer.
Public Courses
Vista Alegre offers general language courses in five languages: English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. Vista Alegre has a course for everybody – from primary school pupils, their teenage brothers and sisters, their parents as well as grandparents.
We focus on developing all major skills – speaking, listening, reading and writing, with special emphasis put on speaking and understanding a language. We try to teach languages in the most natural way possible, even though students are learning in a country where Czech is the mother tongue.
We put a great emphasis on the quality of our teachers. All of them have a university degree in the foreign language(s) they teach and practical experience of having spoken the language in its country of origin.
Our courses have a maximum of 8 students, which enables us to fully engage with everybody.
Before starting a course, you will be asked to complete our entrance test to determine your language level. To specify language levels, we use the ‘Common European Framework of Reference: Learning, Teaching, Assessment’ (http://www.coe.int/t/DG4/Portfolio/?M=/main_pages/levels.html) developed by the Council of Europe.
Our courses are organised into two semesters, formed of 18 weeks teaching.
The public courses are available as morning, afternoon or evening courses. During the morning lessons mothers/fathers can use our babysitting service which is provided for free.

One-to-one courses
For those who do not wish to attend public lessons, Vista Alegre offers one-to-one courses which we tailor to your specific needs and requirements.

Corporate courses
Vista Alegre provides language courses to most major companies in Opava.
We support our corporate customers by tailoring courses, providing a thorough system of testing, setting study goals and preparing syllabi. We also offer an excellent client service, great administrative support, flexibility and a professional approach.
